lots of ravens where i live. ive seen the results of migratory mallards being frozen in a puddle of water and the ravens just pounced on them killing them all. ravens live to be 50 years old, mate for life and speak with a large vocabulary. also, i have never seen a juvenile raven, like small.

Parents wanted to go on a vacation without the kids I guess.

Personally, this is very hard to watch and specially to hear an agonizing creature being eating slowly (or trying) by an inexperienced youngster that still do not know how to kill its prey immediately, but he /she need to learn and hopefully next time will spare the suffering of his/her preys. Thanks, that the mother or father ended that poor thing suffering right away and may be showed his/her chick how thing are done. I love Falcons, and of course this is the way how they learn the difficult art of hunting their own meal. This also can be applied to our own human world, when an inexperienced and ignorant youngster can cause so much pain to others, the difference is in many cases they do not learn....

What exactly did the mother do. So the bird can move his wings and his legs but still cant stand up? I always wondered why the birds of prey take so much time to kill their prey. With those tallons it should be a matter of seconds

Why do they sound like cows.

I’m not sure how the Raven managed to pull this off but it appears the Raven led the mom away from the nest and severely injured her somehow then came back to the nest to kill the babies all the while a fox comes up and starts eating the injured mom in the backyard. That’s wild

The title is misleading. There’s three babies in there and the one ALMOST fell out. I wasn’t sure if it would recover may be suffered severe injury but seemed to recover after a good 10 mins ???

Interesting how the chicks instinctively know to face the danger and continuously posture and open their wings to try and make themselves look bigger.

Bad parenting leaving chicks all defend less. Dad and Mom should take turn to protect them from predators. Of course, they never lister to me.
